Please note, we can not answer questions on printer operation for your particular usage. Answers to most usage questions can be found in the
two Alps YahooGroups linked on our links page.
Document/Quality Tab

Select the Document Type, Media Type and Print Settings.
For decal printing, set Document Type to "Automatic", and Media Type to "Cardboard (Thick Paper)".
NOTE - the heaviest paper that the printer can handle without being damaged is 210gsm (0.21mm or 0.0085")
Paper Tab

Select Paper Size, Layout, etc.
For decal printing, ensure that Manual Feed is selected.
When printing multiple layers using Spot Colours, ensure that the Overlay box is checked (This prevents the paper from being ejected
between passes, preserving registration), and that Scaling is unchecked
Image Settings Tab

For adjusting colour setting on the final print.
For decal printing, ensure that nothing is selected in Photo Enhancement, that the Image controls are centred, and that Colour Match is set to "None"
Spot Colour Settings
If Spot Colour is selected in the Document/Quality tab, the following selections can be used:
Spot Metallic & CMYK

Used when the artwork has been drawn using the custom RGB values described in the manual
Spot Single

Print using the selected colour. All artwork should be solid black where the selected colour is to be printed.
Spot Multiple

Used when the artwork has been drawn using the custom RGB values described in the manual
Spot White

Print a layer of white. All artwork should be solid black where white is to be printed.
Glossy Finish

Glossy Finish. All artwork should be solid black where the printer is to buff the ink
VPhoto Primer

Lays down an undercoat of VPhoto primer, for higher resolution prints with finer halftone screening
Foil Metallics

Used when the artwork has been drawn using the custom RGB values described in the manual
Foil Single

Print using a single foil colour. All artwork should be solid black where the selected colour is to be printed.
Foil Multiple

Print using foils and multiple colours. Used when the artwork has been drawn using the custom RGB values described in the manual
