Warranty Terms
- General
- In these warranty terms, "us" or "we" is taken to refer to Alps Supplies, and "the buyer" to any individual corporation or entity
who purchases any item from us.
- Unless otherwise stated, all warranties are Return to Base (RTB). In this case, Base means the originating country from where the items
were shipped to the buyer. SHIPPING COSTS TO AND FROM BASE ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER.
- Unless otherwise stated, all warranties are Manufacturers Warranties. If the Manufacturers chose to void their warranty, or refuse to
repair or replace any returned items, we will not then be liable for any repair or replacement of goods.
- Printers
- The MD printers carry a 12 month warranty against defective parts and workmanship. This does not include willful damage to the
printer or damage caused by neglect.
- The Alps MD Printers are NOT manufactured for commercial use. Commercial use, or an excessively high average monthly band count will
void the warranty, and the buyer will be liable for all shipping and repair costs.
- Operation in an excessively dusty environment, or an environment where there is an excessive amount of airborne debris will void the
warranty, and the buyer will be liable for all shipping and repair costs.
- Alps Electric deem the print head to be a consumable item. Therefore any head failure for any reason whatsoever shall not be
covered by any warranty, explicit or implied, and any repairs requiring print head replacement will incur repair charges, and return
carriage charges, which must be settled in full prior to release of a repaired printer.
- Any power supply problems caused by attempting to run printers on incorrect mains supplies will not be classed as a warranty return,
and full repair costs will be levied. Printers operated in country where the mains voltage is not 100-115V must
have a suitable isolated step-down transformer between the printer and the mains supply rated for at least 100VA
- Consumables
- As the consumables supplied by us will be stored and used outside our control, they carry no warranty
- All other items
- All other items sold by us are covered by the terms found in the "General" section
- Variations and Conditions
- These or any warranties can only be varied by agreement in writing. These warranties, where they are inconsistent with any
law or laws, override or contract out of that law or laws.
- Waiver
- No neglect, forbearance, or delay, by the seller in enforcing its rights powers or remedies, pursuant to this contract shall be deemed
to be a waiver thereof.
- The placement of an order shall for all purposes be deemed to be acceptance of these warranty terms.
